At Calpine, we believe internships provide valuable hands-on experience for our talented students to learn what it takes to be successful in the workplace, not only as team members, but also as individual contributors. Calpine is proud to report that, despite the global pandemic, we brought on 18 Summer Interns this year. Calpine’s Internship talent joined almost every area of our Company platforms – from our Power and Geothermal Generation fleet to the Corporate and Commercial organizations throughout the company.
Part of what makes Calpine’s Internship program so unique and successful is the selective process our Hiring Managers take in choosing their Interns. From over 80 schools, and over 700 applicants, this year’s Interns were selected for their unique skillsets and aptitude for learning. While this summer’s Internship program may have looked a little different from that of previous years, we are excited to have provided our student interns with valuable learning experiences.
