To advance the transition to clean and reliable energy, Calpine built the Nova Power Bank, a 680 MW 4-hour duration battery energy storage facility on a brownfield site in Menifee, CA, which helps power approximately 680,000 homes and supports grid reliability in California. In addition, Nova has the ability to provide other services such as regulating voltage for protection of the grid.
