Bethpage Power Plant

The Bethpage Power Plant is a highly efficient combined-cycle facility located in Hicksville, New York.  The power plant consists of two combustion turbines, which are routed to heat recovery steam generators provides steam to a steam turbine.  Bethpage Power Plant is a 56-megawatt merchant facility.  Electricity is sold to the New York Independent System Operator.

Calpine also owns and operates four other power plants on Long Island – the 80-megawatt Bethpage Energy Center 3, the 48-megawatt Bethpage Peaker, the 47-megawatt Stony Brook Power Plant and the 121-megawatt cogeneration unit located at Kennedy International Airport.
