Paid Parental Leave

Calpine offers eligible employees with two or more years of service up to 12 weeks paid time off to bond with a newborn or newly adopted child aged 5 years old or younger.

Calpine matches tax-deferred employee 401(k) contributions up to 5 percent of salary* to help employees prepare for financially secure retirement.

Life and Income Replacement Coverage

Calpine pays the cost of basic life insurance for employees, their spouses and their dependents as well as the cost of short-term and long-term disability and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage for employees. Higher levels of voluntary life and AD&D coverage are also available for employees to purchase.
