Andrew Novotny

Senior Executive Vice President Constellation Power Operations
Andrew Novotny is Calpine’s President and Chief Executive Officer, as well as Constellation’s Senior Vice President, Power Operations. In this role he is responsible for all of Constellation’s non-nuclear operations, as well as Capine’s commercial and development activity. Andrew has spent more than 25 years in competitive power, with deep strategic, commercial, financial and operational experience. He serves on Constellation’s Executive Committee which sets strategy and direction for the company.
Mr. Novotny joined Calpine in April 2012 as Vice President of Power Trading. He became Executive Vice President of Commercial Operations in 2018, Chief Operating Officer in 2021 and Calpine’s President in 2023. Before joining Calpine, Mr. Novotny served as Vice President of Financial Gas and Power Trading for the BG Group and Vice President at Duke Energy.
Andrew sits on the board of the Greater Houston Partnership, which strives to make Houston the best place to live, work and build a business.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University, graduating magna cum laude with high honors in Economics. He also received a Master of Business Administration from Rice University, where he was named a Jones Scholar.
